West Midland Young Advisors win national awards

Young Advisors West Midlands (a group of young people aged between 14 and 21 who stimulate social action by showing community leaders and decision makers how to engage young people in community life) have been awarded national recognition for their work across the West Midlands and Shropshire. Established in 2009, the Young Advisors have become firmly established with the support of the Citizen Engagement Company and Citizen Coaching CIC  for helping public and community sector organisations in local decision making and improving services.

Castle and Priory Crime Survey

Between July and Augsut 2012, Citizen Engagement Company, conducted a survey of 291 local residents on the Castle and Priory estates in Dudley. The results below show the findings from that survey which were presented to West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner candidate, Bob Jones in a recent feedback event with local residents.

West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Candidate Bob Jones Listens to Dudley Residents

West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Candidate, Walsall Councillor Bob Jones, listens to local Dudley residents about their concerns around crime in their area. Key themes for the local community were crime, anti-social behaviour and reponses to crime. In July and August, Citizen Engagement Company, with Young Advisors West Midlands, surveyed 291 local residents and found that 53% of respondents stated they want to be involved in developing solutions to address local crime and anti-social behaviour problems in their area.

Bob Jones, outlined some of his priorities as West Mindlands candidtae for Police and Crime Commisoner and how this would address the needs of the local community at the event organised by Citizen Engagement Company.
